See how beautiful it is, brothers and sisters coming together with love that God gave us to extend it to other human beings, praise be to the Almighty.
Yesterday, 19th, December, 2020 will always be memorable for the smiles shared, love expressed and hope restored.
Through #SpreadingWingsInternational, the CEO Mordecai Muriisa Martin Junior lead a team of 15 wonderful young men and women to do a charity outreach dubbed #GiftedHands in places like #Katanga-Wandegeya, #Makerere-Kivulu, Bwaise and Kamwokya.
We pulled together finances, home basic needs like Sugar, Salt, maize flour, soap, cooking oil, clothes and others in collaboration with friends of friends and donated them to the less privileged families in the above mentioned locations.
We did something, but to few individuals, many people need a few things which may not be a matter to you, a cloth that you plan to use as a rag, someone is waiting for it on a good day. Extend a hand in your ability and capacity whenever a call is made.
I want to extend my solid appreciation to whoever accepted to join us in the noble cause, my prayer is that, the Almighty rewards abundantly and enables you not to give up.
Well, they always say it’s not good idea to carry a camera everytime you’re to do some charity work and i truly understand and respect it however someone could be wondering the reason why i carried it, i and my brother Hon Lugamba Joel believe that there’s always a great inspiration to many people whenever they see these kind of hearts and love shared.
We here by carried it to inspire more people with love to spread the love.
This is what went down at Midland Nursery and Primary (orphanage) School today where we reached a hand to the school.
Over the weekend, we yet again spoke to three (3) community based organizations that is to say, Her voice too, Peddle Uganda and Chicken Roasters based in areas of Kasanvu – Kisugu, Namuwongo, Kibuli, Wabigalo and the neighborhood.
This session was organized by Plan International in partnership with the above mentioned groups.
These groups comprise of youth grew up in slums, they used to engage themselves in various mischiefs including drug abuse, sex harassment, stealing and others.
Few years back, #PlanInternational with safer cities for girls project approached the former unruly and notorious youth to transform their lives, they were encouraged to engage in income generating activities like chicken roasting and others, sports activities, dance, singing and rights advocacy for both girls and boys and they have really transformed.
We addressed them, first what we do as Spreading Wings International and later our founder Mordecai Muriisa Martin Junior spoke about his life journey from slums to where he his now against all the odds. He gave motivational message, hope and inspired them to fight for their place in the world.
We were once again pleased with the reception given to us, and we hope to meet these people again when they have moved further steps in life, we hope to work with them in our community outreaches too.
This weekend, our founder Mordecai Muriisa Martin Junior spoke to students of Makerere Business Institute (MBI) at the institute in Makerere. These were majorly freshmen and women who have just started pursuing their journalism career.
Our course is not to show off the successes in life, demoloralise, or discourage, but we are driven by the desire to inspire, awaken the sleeping hopes, courage and determination.
Spreading Wings International we are here for you, reach out to us for inspirational and motivational sessions in schools at all levels, companies and all other set ups.
